So what is a business analyst?

One of the questions we are often asked is "So what does a business analyst do?"

The simple answer is we translate the business need into a language that can be used to design and implement the business solution. Translating from ‘business speak‘ to ‘solution provider language‘ - whether the provider is IT or some other solution, for example process improvements. We work with internal and third party suppliers tailoring our methods and approach to the situation we find ourselves in. A business analyst also produces creative solutions to business problems. At Positive, we balance creativity with practicality when producing solutions to problems.
